Summary

Every business has a Sales Order, Delivery Note, and an Invoice created on a daily basis. Almost every delivery has a tracking number. Each and every invoice needs to be mailed or printed out as a report so that the company as well as its customers are able to keep the records of orders placed by them.

Company Profile

The services are firmly built on knowledge and experience acquired over hundreds of successful projects. A project approach and proven methodologies are the foundation of company's offerings.

Business Situation

The Client requires a solution, which can ensure that:

  • The correct shipping information is entered into the database.
  • The most recent tracking number from the database is re-entered into the SAP delivery note at the end of midnight.
  • The Invoice, Sales Order, and Delivery forms print the address located in the Address field when the data in the Ship to Code field is entered. If the Ship to Code is null, then the address in the user defined fields need to be printed.
  • The tracking number from the delivery is printed on the invoice.
  • The invoices that are having email address are mailed to the clients and are updated in the database.
  • The report of all the invoices for the clients that were not emailed is created.

Challenges

  • Creating add-ons according to the need and adding them into the SAP B1 at the server.
  • Creating crystal reports so that clients can view and print the report simultaneously.
  • Creating a service to update the tracking number and sending the invoice mail to the customers at midnight.
  • Handling the format of the report so that it should look like the format of the inbuilt report of SAP.

Customer Speaks

blockquoteIn this difficult economic environment, Symfo decided to outsource one of its most critical developments to Q3 Tech. We were definitely reluctant doing so at the beginning of the project. But rapidly we understood that Q3 had the necessary skills and professionalism to bring the project to a successful realization. It was not always easy primarily because of the differences of culture. However once we understood each other, things went much better. We also understood that such a difficult project needed intense communications between Q3 and our company. Our company works on two time zones (Europe and East Coast North America) and we were amazed by the availability of the Project Manager and his team. It really contributed improving communications between us.

Phase I of our product is now ready and we are quite happy with it. We are definitely ready to start Phase II with Q3 and we highly recommend them.blockquote
