Spanish website for comprehensive medical resources

Q3 developed a dynamic website to display medicine information on the website that can be dynamically managed by client.

Q3's global sourcing model gives the maximum benefit to customers in terms of cost savings, improved quality, access to highly talented professionals, flexibility of operations and reduced time to market.

Company Profile

The Client has a website which provides a guide to most of the comprehensive medical resources by providing information and advice on common illnesses, symptoms, treatments, and their side effects.

Business Situation

The Client had a static website, and hence, updating the content of the website frequently with more information was a tedious job. To meet the current market trends and increase the efficiency of the website, Client chose to work with Q3 and handed over the task of converting the static site into a dynamic website by using some latest technologies, such as Drupal.

Some of the challenges associated with the project were:

  • Layout Designing
  • Data manipulation in categorized manner
  • Migration of normal database to Drupal technology
  • Integration of multiple social networking sites
  • To increase performance by performing multiple configurations on a server

Solution

Q3 came up with a dedicated team of developers, designers and QA experts to build a solution based on Client's requirements. The team of developers analyzed the requirements, designed the website as per Client's requirements, and finally came up with a solution that ensured all needs and objectives are covered.

The development team upgraded the static website to a dynamic website by integrating the Drupal technology. The website displays medicine information with its name, category, contraindications, side effects, dose and route of administration, and warning and precautions. All the medicine names are displayed in alphabetical manner so as to help its users to easily find the name of medicine from large medicine database. The users can also view the medicines category wise, read news and articles, study medical glossary, and ask the doctor if required. The website is designed so effectively that most of the information was available to the user on a single click on the Home page and the user will never feel complexity in fetching information from the website.

The QA team also got involved from the very beginning to ensure that the desired quality and bug free website is provided timely which includes all the objectives laid by the Client.

Customer Speaks

blockquoteFaced with the need for more resources, we were initially hesitant about how it would work to outsource some development work. Q3 has been an ideal partner; we now think of them as an extension of our development team, and appreciate all their efforts to learn about our people and our products. They have been excellent at seeking clarification on design questions, and have increased the knowledge and depth of their team in response to our needs. We particularly appreciated their willingness to document their work using our internal systems, saving us administration time. We would not hesitate to recommend Q3 to anyone seeking a reliable, knowledgeable and conscientious development partner.blockquote
