Business Situation

 

The client has a flagship product that enables patient clinical recording and monitoring. It required this product to be migrated to a web-based solution (.NET) to provide doctors the flexibility of accessing patient information anywhere/anytime. Since .NET was a nascent technology, the major challenge the client faced was to get a pool of technically qualified .NET resources. Q3 was uniquely positioned to address the client's challenges due to:

Solution

 

Q3's solution was based on a proven methodology for execution of such projects. A proof-of concept approach was used, which was highly successful and resulted in more projects for Q3. The following summarizes the solution approach:

 

  • Study and validate the .NET architecture created by the client
  • Creation of Web Prototypes/Proof-of-concepts to clearly define requirements
  • Migrate / Convert the existing applications to the .NET application
  • Maintain the existing C/S rich GUI functionality when migrating to the new application
  • Reuse and extension of the existing MS SQL server database structures.
